“It’s Monday! What are you reading?” is a weekly meme hosted by Book Date. The folks at Teacher Mentor Texts and Unleashing Readers have given #IMWAYR a new lens by focusing on books for kids & teens. Check out their blogs to see what they’re reading!
Note: I am an affiliate of Bookshop.org and will receive a small commission if you choose to purchase via the links in this post. This is a way to support indie bookstores & the work I put into this blog! It’s appreciated, but never expected.

I’ve been in a bit of a reading slump, but I started feeling more like myself last week and finally read a bunch of graphic novels that I’d been wanting to pick up! I loved everything I read last week but I think my favorites were Now That I’ve Found You, The Black Kids, Quince, and Primer.
- Recommended For You by Laura Silverman
- This Is My America by Kim Johnson
- Spellhacker by M.K. England
Recommended For You is one of my most anticipated reads and I’m super excited that I’ll be participating in the official Simon Teen blog tour for it! I’ve been listening to the audiobook of This is My America and it is such an incredible read. Spellhacker is one that I’m buddy reading with a friend, and I’m excited to see where it goes.
What are you reading this week?
Thanks for reading my post! I would like to ask that you please also take the time to read about how you can support Black Lives Matter, as well as the Junk Terror Bill initiative.
Such a great list of books! I recently finished The Silvered Serpents, think I’ll try to pick up Lobizona next. 😍💖
