Review Policy

Reading books is a passion for me, and I love reviewing books when I am able to. I have limited time and can only focus on reviewing books that are of interest to me or are relevant to my work as a teen services librarian.

Books that I review include ones that I have purchased; advanced readers copies I have received through my work, conferences, from publishers, or that have been shared with me by other librarians; and books I have received through giveaways. In addition to this blog, I may share my reviews on other platforms, including Goodreads, Amazon, Twitter, or Instagram.

I mostly read YA fiction, graphic novels, middle grade fiction, and contemporary romance.

While I am open to a wide range of books, the genres I am most interested in reading & reviewing are:

  • Contemporary/Realistic
  • Romance
  • Thrillers/Mysteries
  • Science Fiction
  • Dystopian

I prefer to read diverse books (especially ones that are #OwnVoices): ones with main characters of color, who are LGBTQIA+, disabled, or are a member of another marginalized group.

I rarely read or review fantasy novels, unless it is a book I am truly excited about.
