It’s no secret that Akemi Dawn Bowman is one of my all-time favorite authors! Her #OwnVoices YA contemporaries are always diverse, beautifully written, and touch on important topics like mental health, identity, & family. I’m super excited for her sci-fi/fantasy debut, The Infinity Courts and am even more excited to be on the street team for this book!
If you missed Akemi’s announcement on Instagram, The Infinity Courts Street Team is running a scavenger hunt for the cover reveal! You can play along for a chance to win a pre-order of the book.

Before I reveal my piece of the puzzle, here’s just a bit about The Infinity Courts: “Pitched as Warcross meets Black Mirror, the book follows a Japanese American teen who finds herself in Infinity, a world in which the human consciousness goes after death, where she battles an AI entity posing as a queen that’s hacked its way into the afterlife with the plan to take over and control everything. Publication for the first book is set for spring 2021.”

I know it’s just one little piece, but can we take a moment to admire it? I’m obsessed with the deep, rich shades of magenta, and the soft glowing effect! If you’ve seen some of the previously revealed pieces, you know it’s definitely a different vibe than the covers of Akemi’s contemporary books. I’m so happy that Akemi is getting a beautiful, awe-worthy cover for her sci-fi debut!
The full cover is absolutely stunning & I cannot wait for everyone to see the final reveal. I’m already picturing how gorgeous The Infinity Courts will look on my bookshelf.
