“Library Haul” is my weekly post where I share all the things I brought home from the library this week! One of my favorite things about being a librarian is bringing home stacks of exciting new reads: books I snagged as soon as they hit the “New arrivals” shelf, hidden gems I stumbled upon in the stacks, or digital books I found on Libby. Even though I don’t always get through all the reads I bring home, I’m excited to share them!
Since my libraries are still closed, I’ll only be sharing digital check-outs!
- All Boys Aren’t Blue by George M. Johnson, ebook
- River of Teeth by Sarah Gailey, audiobook narrated by Peter Berkrot
- We Are Totally Normal by Rahul Kanakia, audiobook narrated by Sunil Malhotra
- The Perfect Escape by Suzanne Park, audiobook narrated by Kate Rudd & Raymond Lee
I’ve already finished listening to The Perfect Escape, which was super cute! I’ve just started listening to We Are Totally Normal and am curious to see where it goes. I recently read a few books by Sarah Gailey and checked out another on a whim. All Boys Aren’t Blue is one of my most anticipated reads of the year and I was so excited to see the ebook was available.
All of my audiobooks & ebooks this week were checked out via Libby by Overdrive. If you haven’t used Libby before, I highly recommend seeing if your local library offers this ebook & audiobook service!
Did you check out anything from your local library this week?

I’ve been using my digital library so much for audiobooks! I think I’m going to loan out something from Libba Bray this month. The Perfect Escape sounds WILD. Honestly I don’t think I’ve ever heard a book mention anything about an escape room but I love it 😭
Yay that’s great! I haven’t read anything by Libba Bray but have heard wonderful things!

I am a big user of Libby, there are so many books and I place tons of holds. Enjoy all of your books!
That’s wonderful! Do you have a favorite book you’ve read or listened to on Libby?
I can’t wait for libraries to reopen. My state is closed until Mid May at least. I am getting used to reading my Kindle though. Have a nice week.
I definitely miss my library but am glad our administration is doing what they need to do to keep staff and the public safe!
