Thank goodness April is over! I swear, this past month felt super short and too long all at the same time. It’s been a stressful month and getting through quarantine has been such a challenge. I’ve missed my library so much and working from home has been such a difficult adjustment. Things have been a bit overwhelming, but I’m so grateful books exist. Being stressed makes me read more, so I am glad to report that I managed to read X books in April!
Here’s the wrap-up of everything I read, featuring my favorite covers of some of my reads this month!
- All Your Twisted Secrets by Diana Urban
- Foul is Fair by Hanna Capin
- Four Days of You and Me by Miranda Kinneally
- Felix Ever After by Kacen Callender
- The Henna Wars by Adiba Jaigirdar
- The Kingdom of Back by Marie Lu
- Late to the Party by Kelly Quindlen
- Clap When You Land by Elizabeth Acevedo
- The Perfect Escape by Suzanne Park
- Rick by Alex Gino
- From the Desk of Zoe Washington by Janae Marks, audiobook by Bahni Turpin
- Once Upon an Eid: Stories of Hope and Joy by 15 Muslim Voices edited by S.K. Ali & Aisha Saeed

- 14 were eBooks
- 6 were eARCs
- 1 was an eBooks that I purchased
- 7 of those were eBooks that I checked out from my library (via Hoopla or Libby)

Something to Talk About was cute but definitely more of a slow-burn than I was expecting haha. The Southern Book Club was very different than what I normally read–it wasn’t my favorite but definitely entertaining!

OMG Something to Talk About was an ultimate slowburn – fortunately I’ve read some before by Mariana Zapata and I wasn’t too shocked by it, but I didn’t expect it to be this slow either – lol

You had some great books! I like how you sort them in between YA and Adult. I should try to do that next month maybe. I agree with how April seemed to go on forever, but then also was over before it seemed time. Let’s hope May is a better month for us all!

Clap When You Land is high on my wish list as I just recently read and enjoyed The Poet X. From the Desk of Zoe Washington was so good and my copy now has a signed bookplate thanks to the author who had to cancel her in person events. I can’t wait to read her next books too.
