Library Haul | March 9, 2019

“Library Haul” is my weekly post where I share all the things I brought home from the library this week! One of my favorite things about being a librarian is bringing home stacks of exciting new reads: books I snagged as soon as they hit the “New arrivals” shelf, hidden gems I stumbled upon in the stacks, digital books I found on Libby, advanced readers copies that arrived in the mail, and more. Even though I don’t always get through all the reads I bring home, I’m excited to share them!

Comics Will Break Your Heart by Faith Erin Hicks: I remember reading Faith’s comics years ago, and am so excited to read her YA debut now that my library hold is finally ready for me to take home.

Digital

No One Here is Lonely by Sarah Everett: After hearing this one described as an Adam Silvera read-a-like, I’ve been eager to try it! I was so excited to see the eBook available.

We Set the Dark on Fire by Tehlor Kay Mejia: I’ve loved some of Tehlor’s short stories in anthologies and have been waiting for this one for months! I tend to have a hard time physically reading fantasy so I’ve got the audiobook checked out and am looking forward to starting it soon.

If You’re Out There by Katy Loutzenhiser: Here’s another one that I’ve mentioned many times, and it’s finally out! The eBook is waiting on my Kindle for me.

Opposite of Always by Justin A. Reynolds: This has one of my favorite covers of 2019 that I’ve been obsessing over since it was first revealed! I checked out the eBook and audiobook so I can switch back and forth.

All of my digital check-outs this week via Libby by OverDrive.

Advanced readers copies

I Wanna Be Where You Are by Kristina Forest: I was ecstatic when I opened this book mail and saw that it was one of my most anticipated reads of the year! I’m in love with this cover and the book sounds so amazing! Out on June 4!

Birthday by Meredith Russo: I loved Meredith’s debut, If I Was Your Girl, and have been waiting for more from her ever since. Out on May 21! (In the meantime, check out her story in the Meet Cute anthology!)

You’d Be Mine by Erin Hahn: This YA contemporary romance sounds so cute, and I’ve heard nothing but positive stuff about it. Out on April 2!

If It Makes You Happy by Claire Kann: Claire’s debut, Let’s Talk About Love was one of my absolute favorite books of 2018, and I was beyond pumped to get this ARC! I already know I’m going to adore it. Out on June 4!

I was lucky enough to get a ton of amazing ARCs this week, but I only took home these few for now. I’ll be sharing more soon!

Did you check out anything from your local library this week?
