TBR Highs & Lows is a meme hosted by Destiny at Howling Libraries (one of my favorite book blogs!), where bloggers feature the books at the bottom of their TBRs (the “lows”) and highlight new additions to the list (the “highs”). Visit Howling Libraries for more info if you’re interested in participating!

Here’s some of the books at the bottom of my TBR (but that I still want to read!):

Amina’s Voice by Hena Khan
I’ve been actively trying to read more diverse middle grade fiction, and this one about a Pakistani-American Muslim girl sounds perfect.

Vlogger Tash is a dealing with going viral and navigating romance as an asexual teen. This book has so many positive reviews!

Down and Across by Arvin Ahmadi
This contemporary coming-of-age novel has #OwnVoices Iranian-American rep!

Out of Darkness by Ashley Hope Pérez
This historical YA novel deals with romance, race, and identity, set against the backdrop f the 1937 New London school explosion.

Yaqui Delgado Wants to Kick Your Ass by Meg Medina
Piddy Sanchez is dealing with a lot, including bullying, wondering about the dad she’s never met, and not feeling Latina enough.

Hot Dog Girl by Jennifer Dugan

  1. I can’t really recommend Tash Hearts Tolstoy, although I know there were other ace people who liked it.

Woo I didn’t know Hot Dog Girl has a cover yet! Nice 😀
