It’s Monday! What are you reading? January 18, 2021

It's Monday! What are you reading?

“It’s Monday! What are you reading?” is a weekly meme hosted by Book Date. The folks at Teacher Mentor Texts and Unleashing Readers have given #IMWAYR a new lens by focusing on books for kids & teens. Check out their blogs to see what they’re reading!

This past week was a really great reading week because I got to read lots of queer content! It was so nice to dive back into middle grade fiction and graphic novels.

Note: I am an affiliate of Bookshop.org and will receive a small commission if you choose to purchase via the links in this post. This is a way to support indie bookstores & the work I put into this blog! It’s appreciated, but never expected.

What I'm reading this week

All three of these are books I’ve been super excited for, and I’m so glad to finally be starting them!

What are you reading this week?

Happy reading! Ari

  1. I have Redwood and Ponytail on my list, but I haven’t yet read House Arrest and Knockout. Do I need that history to understand her latest? I’d like to get to them, anyway, so I should probably just start there, first. We’re ordering The Magic Fish this week, so I’m super excited for that to arrive! Thanks for all these shares, Ari!

  2. It looks like you have been reading some great books! Spinning and Love is a Revolution in particular caught my eye, but honestly I want to take a closer look at all of them. I hope you are enjoying your current reads. I’ve heard great things about The Magic Fish. Have a great week!

  3. I’m thrilled that you’re starting The Magic Fish—I just hung shelves above my bookcases to display my favorite books and put The Magic Fish right at eye level! I have a different book by Tillie Walden, On a Sunbeam, waiting to be read right now! Thanks for the wonderful post, and enjoy your books this week!

I have The Magic Fish on my shelf and as soon as I am finished the Cybil finalists, I’ll be starting it. Thanks for sharing these books and have a wonderful reading week.
