“Library Haul” is my weekly post where I share all the things I brought home from the library this week! One of my favorite things about being a librarian is bringing home stacks of exciting new reads: books I snagged as soon as they hit the “New arrivals” shelf, hidden gems I stumbled upon in the stacks, digital books I found on Libby, advanced readers copies that arrived in the mail, and more. Even though I don’t always get through all the reads I bring home, I’m excited to share them!
No physical check-outs this week, because I have a tottering pile of ARCs and a ton of audiobooks that I still need to get through! I was on hold for a bunch of audiobooks, and they keep coming in all at once so I’ve been doing a lot of listening.
Two Can Keep A Secret by Karen M. McManus: I checked out & started this YA mystery/thriller audiobook when it was first released, but didn’t finish it before it was due back. Hoping to finish it this time around!
Shout by Laurie Halse Anderson: I love Laurie Halse Anderson, and Speak will forever be one of my favorite books, so I already know that Shout will mean so much to me. I have both the audiobook and a physical copy, so I’ll probably switch back and forth.
The Field Guide to the North American Teenager by Ben Philippe: Honestly, I’ve checked this audiobook out so many times and never get to it before it’s due! Not sure that I’ll actually get to it this time, but I really want to!
All of my audiobooks this week were checked out via Libby by OverDrive.
Queenie by Candice Carty-Williams: One of my 2019 reading goals is to read more adult fiction, and I’m looking forward to trying this one! Out on March 19.
Cold Day in the Sun by Sara Biren: This one has actually already released (March 12), but after taking the ARC home, I read it in 24 hours because I could not put it down! Definitely one of my new favorite YA romances.
Love from A to Z by S.K. Ali: I LOVED Saints and Misfits and this one is without a doubt one of my most anticipated reads of the year! Can’t wait to get started on this one. Out on May 7.
Did you check out anything from your local library this week?
Dont feel bad about 2CKAS … I have both of the books and havent read either yet.
