TBR Lows & Highs | December 13, 2018

TBR Highs & Lows is a meme hosted by Destiny at Howling Libraries(one of my favorite book blogs!), where bloggers feature the books at the bottom of their TBRs (the “lows”) and highlight new additions to the list (the “highs”). Visit Howling Libraries for more info if you’re interested in participating!

Here’s some of the books at the bottom of my TBR (but that I still want to read!):

Untitled design (1)

Running With Lions by Julian Winters
A diverse YA contemporary about queer boy soccer players. I’ve heard such good things about this one!

P.S. I Miss You by Jen Petro-Roy
I’m always looking for more queer middle grade stories, and this one’s about a young girl questioning her sexuality and writing letters to her older sister, who was sent away from their home after becoming pregnant.

Fake Blood by Whitney Gardner
Obviously I love slayer/vampire pairings, and I need to read this graphic novel soon!

Hearts Unbroken by Cynthia Leitich Smith
A contemporary romance about a Native teen. I’ve seen some mixed reviews for this one, so let me know if you’ve read it and what you thought!

Here to Stay by Sara Farizan
Sara Farizan is an author who so many people have recommended to me, but I haven’t had the chance to pick up any of her books yet. This is her latest!

Here’s what I’ve added to my TBR recently:

Night Music by Jenn Marie Thorne
Release date: March 19, 2019
An interracial summer rom-com about two musically gifted teens. I’ll be curious to see how this one is!

When Summer Ends by Jessica Pennington
Release date: April 9, 2019
Summer stories are my favorite! This one’s about two teens who decide to live summer by chance after having their plans fall apart.

How It Feels to Float by Helena Fox
Release date: May 7, 2019
I love contemporary novels with a ghosty twist, and this one has a beautifully minimalistic cover!

If It Makes You Happy by Claire Kann
Release date: June 4, 2019
Claire’s debut, Let’s Talk About Love, was one of my favorite books of the year and I was so excited that the cover of her next one was revealed this week! It’s a rom-com staring a queer fat Black girl and I cannot wait.

Wilder Girls by Rory Power
Release date: July 9, 2019
THIS COVER. Haunting, creepy, atmospheric island boarding school? YES.

What have you added to your TBR recently?
