Library Display | Summer Romance

One of my favorite parts of being a librarian is doing book displays at my library! Here on my blog, I love sharing the behind the scenes of my displays, including everything you need to recreate the displays. If you’re a library worker, teacher, or bookseller, feel free to use this to make a display of your own!

Note: I am an affiliate of Bookshop.org and will receive a small commission if you choose to purchase via the links in this post. This is a way to support indie bookstores & the work I put into this blog! It’s appreciated, but never expected.

About the display
pink & orange display with text "summer loving happened so fast, summer loving had me a blast"

Hi friends! Summer is in full swing at my library and it has already been so hectic. I was brainstorming a fun, easy display that I could keep going through the whole summer and thought romance was perfect. Romance novels are perfect during the summer, and it’s definitely a genre I get asked for a lot at work. Plus, this display is broad enough that it’s easy to quickly pull books for without having to do a ton of searching. You can choose romances set in the summer if you want, or just do a variety of romance novels (which is what I ended up doing).

For the display, I chose to go with the iconic lyrics from Grease! I included a mix of adult & teen romances. Below is everything you need to recreate this display at your library.

suggested books to include

(Alphabetical by author or editor)

Adult Romance:

Young Adult Romance:

This list is just a small selection; there are so many other incredible romance novels out there!

If you use my display ideas, I’d love to see pictures! Please tag me on Instagram or Twitter so I can see them.

Happy reading! Ari
