It’s Monday! What are you reading? June 19, 2023

It's Monday! What are you reading?

“It’s Monday! What are you reading?” is a weekly meme hosted by Book Date. The folks at Teacher Mentor Texts and Unleashing Readers have given #IMWAYR a new lens by focusing on books for kids & teens. Check out their blogs to see what they’re reading!

Note: I am an affiliate of Bookshop.org and will receive a small commission if you choose to purchase via the links in this post. This is a way to support indie bookstores & the work I put into this blog! It’s appreciated, but never expected.

Happy reading! (2)

Ooof, this past week was rough! I only finished two books, which is pretty low for me. It was the first week of the Summer Reading Challenge at my library, so things were super hectic with coordinating volunteers, preparing for programs, etc. So this meant that I ended up skipping a lot of my breaks (which is when I normally read) and by the time I got home each night, I was too exhausted to read and ended up just zoning out in front of the TV. I’m hoping things will settle a bit this week so I can get back to my normal reading!

I just got all three of these books in the mail (thank you to the publishers!) and am really excited to start them! Hopefully this week will be less stressful so I can actually get some reading done.

What are you reading this week?

Happy reading! Ari

  1. Nice looking assortment of books. I hope things settle down at work so that you get your reading time back. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  2. I’ve been listening to Harrow the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir and it’s LOONNGGG. I picked a short one for the June Massachusetts Center for the Book Reading Challenge (a book set in a country you’ve never visited) — My Sister, the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite (set in Nigeria).
Summer reading starts this week at our library, and summer hours too (no Saturdays until Labor Day).
