How is May over?! I can’t believe it’s already June! As a public librarian, summer is definitely my busiest time of the year and I still have a huge list of stuff to get done before our Summer Reading Program starts. At least I had lots of good reads in May! Here’s what I read:

- Margo Zimmerman Gets the Girl by Brianna R. Shrum & Sara Waxelbaum
- Chasing Pacquiao by Rod Pulido
- Where You See Yourself by Claire Forrest
- Nigeria Jones by Ibi Zoboi
- Wings in the Wild by Margarita Engle
- The Next New Syrian Girl by Ream Shukairy

- Good Different by Meg Eden Kuyatt
- What Happened to Rachel Riley? by Claire Swinarski
- Rain Remembers by Courtne Comrie

- A Quick & Easy Guide to Queer & Trans Identities by Mady G. & J.R. Zuckerberg
- Hungry Ghost by Victoria Ying
- American Born Chinese by Gene Luen Yang
- The Love Report by BéKa & Maya
- The Tryout by Christina Soontornvat & Joanna Cacao
- Mabuhay! by Zachary Sterling
- Danger and Other Unknown Risks by Ryan North & Erica Henderson

In May, I read a total of 18 books. Here’s the format that I read them in:
- 6 were physical books checked out from my library
- 5 were audiobooks checked out from my library via the Libby or Hoopla apps
- 3 were eBooks checked out from my library via the Libby or Hoopla apps
- 2 were digital review copies downloaded from NetGalley or Edelweiss+
- 2 were physical review copies or finished copies sent to me by publishers
What was your favorite book you read in May?
