Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, where book bloggers are invited to share their top ten lists centered on a certain theme.

This week’s prompt is books on your Spring TBR! There are so many good releases this spring, so I was super excited to share a few of the ones I’m most looking forward to reading.

My Top ten
1. An Arrow to the Moon

1. An Arrow to the Moon by Emily X.R. Pan (Release date: April 12): Emily’s debut, The Astonishing Color of After, is easily one of my favorite YA books of all time and I’m so excited for another of her books! 

2. See You Yesterday

2. See You Yesterday by Rachel Lynn Solomon (Release date: May 17): Rachel is one of my favorite authors, and I always love the thoughtful Jewish rep in her books! This one is a time-loop book set on a college campus, which sounds so fun.  

3. Hollow Fires

3. Hollow Fires by Samira Ahmed (Release date: May 10): I’ve enjoyed Samira’s books in the past, and as a former college journalist, I love books about teen journalists!

4. The Many Half-Lived Lives of Sam Sylvester

4. The Many Half-Lived Lives of Sam Sylvester by Maya McGregor (Release date: May 3): A YA mystery starring a queer nonbinary autistic protagonist? Sign me up! I’m always on the hunt for new mysteries to recommend at my library and this one sounds amazing.  

5. Confessions of an Alleged Good Girl

5. Confessions of an Alleged Good Girl by Joya Goffney (Release date: May 3): this YA contemporary follows a teen girl who discovers she has a medical condition that prevents her from having sex—this is a topic I’ve never seen in YA before and I’m really interested to see how it’s tackled! 

6. Café Con Lychee

6. Café Con Lychee by Emery Lee (Release date: May 10): I adored Emery’s debut, Meet Cute Diary, and am so excited for this one! It follows two queer teens who team up to save their family’s respective businesses—one a Puerto Rican bakery, the other an Asian American café–and catch feelings for each other along the way.  

7. Breathe And Count Back From Ten

7. Breathe And Count Back From Ten by Natalia Sylvester (Release date: May 10): We always need more YA books with disability rep, and I love that this one is about a Peruvian American teen with hip dysplasia! 

8. The Lesbiana's Guide to Catholic School

8. The Lesbiana’s Guide to Catholic School by Sonora Reyes (Release date: May 17): honestly, this book had me at “lesbiana”! I’ll always read anything that’s this unapologetically queer.  

9. Just Your Local Bisexual Disaster

9. Just Your Local Bisexual Disaster by Andrea Mosqueda (Release date: May 24): This YA contemporary about a bisexual Latina girl trying to find a date to her sister’s quinceañera sounds adorable! 

10. Deep in Providence

10. Deep in Providence by Riss M. Neilson (Release date: May 31): As a Filipino reader, I’m always on the hunt for books with Filipino rep! This one follows a group of friends dealing with grief and bound by Filipino magic.
