Top Ten Tuesday | Most anticipated releases

Untitled design (8)

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, where book bloggers are invited to share their top ten lists centered on a certain theme.

I missed last week’s theme, which was most anticipated releases for the second half of 2020. This theme is so fun that I decided to go ahead and do it this week!

My Top ten

1

1. Grown by Tiffany D. Jackson: I’ve loved all of Tiffany’s books and she’s definitely an auto-buy author for me! Her books are always super popular at my library, too.

2

2. Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas: I’m always down to read & support a book by a trans Latinx author! This one sounds amazing & right up my alley.

3

3. Recommended For You by Laura Silverman: A rom-com between two Jewish bookseller teens? Yes, please! I’m also super honored that I’ll be participating in the blog tour for this one!

4

4. Charming As a Verb by Ben Philippe: I really enjoyed Ben’s debut, The Field Guide to the North American Teenager, and have been looking forward to more from him! I also love the detail on this cover and especially adore the fact that there’s a dog on it.

5

5. Never Look Back by Lilliam Rivera: Lilliam is another author whose books are super popular at my library! I’ll read anything she writes, and something about the faded vibe of this cover really speaks to me.

6

6. 10 Things I Hate About Pinky by Sandhya Menon: Do I even need a reason for this one? Sandhya is a YA rom-com queen and the Dimpleverse is a space I just want to live in. When I read There’s Something About Sweetie, I loved Pinky and am so glad she’s getting her own story!

7

7. Smash It! by Francina Simone: This YA contemporary about a girl coming up with a plan to smash junior year sounds so fun & full of heart! Plus I am absolutely obsessed with the cover!

8

8. Miss Meteor by Tehlor Kay Mejia & Anna-Marie McLemore: Two of my favorite queer Latinx authors teaming up? Honestly, what did we do to deserve this gift?

9

9. Every Body Looking by Candice Iloh: I love novels in verse, and the fact that this one also touches on identity, dance, sexuality, and so many other important themes means that it’ll probably be a favorite for me!

10

10. Who I Was with Her by Nita Tyndall: This contemporary novel about a queer girl grieving the death of her secret girlfriend sounds so heartbreaking. It’s sure to make me cry but it also sounds like a beautiful story!

What are some of your most anticipated releases for the second half of 2020?

Thanks for reading my post! I would like to ask that you please also take the time to read about how you can support Black Lives Matter, as well as the Junk Terror Bill initiative.

Happy reading! (1)
