Last week was busy for me, and I had a friend visiting from out of town, so I didn’t get much reading done. But I’m excited to get back on track this week!

WHAT I’M READING THIS WEEK:

 

Hot Dog Girl by Jennifer Dugan

This YA contemporary has been on my TBR for months and I’m so excited to finally be reading it! Elouise can’t wait to have the best summer ever working at the local amusement park with her BFF Seeley & long-time crush Nick. But with Elouise stuck wearing a hot dog suit, Nick’s girlfriend Jessa working as the park princess, and the park on the brink of closing, things aren’t quite going to plan.

I’m about halfway through this book and am really curious to see how it ends! I know that this one will be a big hit with teens at my library and I can’t wait to tell the teen book club I run all about it. Thanks Putnam for the review copy! Look for Hot Dog Girl on April 30.

 

If You’re Out There by Katy Loutzenhiser, audiobook narrated by Kate Rudd

Another YA contemporary that I’ve been waiting for for several months! After Zan’s best friend Priya moves, she’s devastated when Priya ghosts her. At first, she assumes that Priya has just moved on and started a new life, but she eventually begins to wonder if there’s a sinister reason behind her disappearance.

I just started this audiobook and am already hooked! I can’t wait to see where it goes. The concept behind this book is so interesting; we’ve all been ghosted by someone at least once, but what do you do when your gut tells you it’s more than that?  This book’s a short one, so I’m hoping to finish it in the next few days.
