TBR Highs & Lows is a meme hosted by Destiny at Howling Libraries(one of my favorite book blogs!), where bloggers feature the books at the bottom of their TBRs (the “lows”) and highlight new additions to the list (the “highs”). Visit Howling Libraries for more info if you’re interested in participating!

Here’s some of the books at the bottom of my TBR (but that I still want to read!):

Anger is a Gift by Mark Osano
I’ve picked up this YA novel about police brutality (set in Oakland!) a few times but never seem to get to it. I’m hoping to finally read it eventually!

Hurricane Child by Kheryn Callender
A middle grade novel about a young queer Black girl, with a dose of magical realism.

Radio Silence by Alice Oseman
A diverse YA novel with POC and queer characters about friendship and media.

Flying Lessons & Other Stories edited by Ellen Oh
A diverse middle grade anthology including works from Kwame Alexander, Meg Medina, Jacqueline Woodson, and more.

An Unkindness of Ghosts by Rivers Solomon
A coworker recommended this queer sci-fi novel to me, and it has great reviews!

    1. Ahhh you’re so sweet to say that! I’ve picked up Anger is a Gift a couple times and just never seem to get into it. I really want to read it though (especially since I live in Oakland, where it takes place!) so I may try the audiobook version. And yes, I’m totally obsessed with that cover, too!!
